This year’s Cloud Conference was a first for us…the first time we had the conference outside of Georgia (where we’re headquartered). In the feedback from past years, attendees have asked for us to have the next conference in Bozeman, MT, where we have our other office. We finally listened, and it was a hit!
“The Xcentric Cloud Conference is 1st Class. You will gain a wealth of knowledge in subject areas that are cloud-related and some that aren’t but still relate to CPA firms. The networking and relationships you will build with other CPA Firms in the cloud is priceless. Xcentric’s team is knowledgeable and genuine, they care and strive to constantly improve the cloud experience.” – Firm Admin attendee
Aside from the amazing, natural scenery, fresh air and coincidence of the solar eclipse, this year’s conference was a little different. Each year, we take the feedback from attendees to tweak and add new elements for the next conference. We brought PODs back – assigned groups throughout the conference for peer roundtables in-between sessions. We also brought in outsides speakers and a new sponsor.
In addition to these changes, we had the typical agenda: sessions led by our founders (Trey and Christian James) and Roman Kepczyk, peer roundtables (where Xcentric Cloud users get to share their technology and industry experiences with each other), and group dinners and outings (to continue the networking between clients, Xcentric staff and industry sponsors).
We’re satisfied with the turnout of the conference and believe we accomplished our goals for hosting the Cloud Conference: to provide value to our Cloud users, to help create relationships amongst people who have so much in common, and to share our knowledge on where the future of technology in the accounting industry is headed.
Thank you to all of our wonderful clients who took the time to travel to Bozeman for a few days. We hope to see you all, and new faces, in Georgia for the 2018 Cloud Conference!
